Hows it going?

Just registered on here after seeing a link on Scoobynet! Im looking at buying a classic uk turbo 2000 in the next few weeks so looking for as much info as i can get and some new friends to have a laugh with!

Ive current got an FTO which will be going up for sale in the next week and an astra that struggles on hills, hoping an impreza should be abit quicker!

Thinking of popping down to the meet tomorrow too, unless you mind some random guy in an astra turning up!!

Completely useless garage, when i got there they were all stood outside having a BBQ, guy didnt even come over to say hello, then told me id have to come down WITH the money before i could take it out :S

Im not too keen on them really plus id be looking at either a lowish milage classic or a high milage bug eye would i not? Surely the latter would be more reliable etc?

So should i avoid high milage cars then or are they ok as long as they have been serviced and had the cam belt done? There seems to be quite alot of cars around 90k hovering around for about 2k...

all about the history mate seen 100k cars out last 30k cars engine wise

that second car on your list looks quite nice. not sure about the price though these cars just aren't hold there price at the minute.

There has been a one parked outside the old ropery in hendon with forsale signs in the window for a weeks now, no idea what the car is like but it might be worth a look.

When i was looking for mine which was a few year ago most of the ones i loooked at were 100k plus miles

Dave, that blue one in Hendon is a non turbo mate- no vents in the bonnet!

The blue car is at a garage next to peterlee and they recon it was part exed a couple of weeks back?! Looks like it's had a far bit done to it so it could be someone from here!

Your welcome to pop in mate. The green one isnt here as were building an engine for a customer so we have leant it to him untill it's finished. It should be back next week. Ive got more photos, and we've got a couple more for sale too.
