how come it seems like i use more petrol driving sensibly!!!

alreet lads,had my car for a few days now and it sems to use more juice driving normally!! (ie changing gear @2000rpm so no turbo being used!! any ideas?? ir am i just going mad!!

Its really weird - isn't it.

I drive the car almost flat out on 1.1bar everytime I am in it.

The Mrs uses it all week for the school run and her work and she used to run it on 0.5bar of boost thinking that it would save her fuel, she has run it on my 1.1bar setting for the past few weeks and she is getting an extra couple of days out of the tank.

Have you got a boost gauge fitted, so you know when you are on boost and not on boost, as when changing gear at lower revs and the engine being under a higher load in some of the higher gears especially, you only have to touch the accelerator slightly and you are on boost, at least that's how it is with mine, can tell just buy looking at boost gauge

dont have a gauge fitted as yet,i normally know its coming by the rpm and a massive suck of air ftom the induction kit!!


i gave it some stick pretty much all the way home the other night (about 10 miles and the needle hardly moved but when i drop the little one off at her grans (about the same distance but driven without using the turbo) it uses loads!!

Just make sure ya get a smile outta every quid I try get one outta every penny haha some say I'm a nutta but I just like value for money

i dont know but all i do know is that i need to drive the scooby to derby to work this wk and i aint looking forward to the price.....plus a shell garage fill up route no doubt......are them points cards worth the hassle??????????
