Very gracious thanks to Colin who is the latest victim of a KGT car related saga. This time it was he who battled on trying to fit the Brembos to the red one only to find that the back ones wont bloody work on a WRX (unless I go and spend yet more cash on the thing)

I think he was also a bit taken aback at my totally underwhelming assessment of the fronts which he did manage to fit after a test drive to the cashy and back. Apologies for that.

Anyway, they are on even if I'm not convinced. Hopefully it will sort itself out and we'll learn to love each other or I dont know what.......thats me and the brakes obviously, not me and Colin.

Thanks again sir Smile

Cheers AK. Colin tried to show me the problem last night - seems to be two fold in that the disc is physically larger than something it sits against which has a kind of lip on it (?) and as you said that the bloody handbrake doesnt work - he spoke to Drew and ASP and was quoted over £150 for the parts - I wasnt too happy, but as usual Ive only got myself to blame as I should have asked Finn all this before buying.

And as if it couldnt get any worse, I got a vibration coming through the front of the car on the way up the mad mile last night at 55-60mph as if something was way out of balance. I backed right off and crawled home in tears. Didnt see anything obvious when I got home and didnt get over 40mph this morning due to the traffic.

I hope this isnt the beginning of something, coz I just havent got the stomach for it again. The car was the best its been in years before I did this. I'm kicking myself. I'll be hanging onto the old gear for a while just in case.....
