Thanks for the welcome guys, These old Classics certainly cost the earth to maintain.
in 2011 i had to buy:

New Clutch
New Battery
New Tyres
New Starter Motor
Rebuilt closed deck engine with 2.1 stroker and forged pistons
new oil pump
SIMTEC ecu with switchable map, 2 remaps one on road and one on rolling road
New Tyres
New Wheels
New front and rear brakes, discs and pads.

Its booked in next week to have the gearbox oil changed for Redline lightweight shockproof oil.

and ive only done 1500 miles in it in 2011 ! as it spent more time off the road than on it.
Not sure if its really worth it ?

will be worth it mate when all complete
