Subject: Oil temp Range Thu 2 Feb - 12:00
Hi for those running a temp gauge what does yours reach when driving just fitted mine yesterday and it's going 50 to 60c Just making sure its working properly

Should be at about 90 when car is fully warmed up.

Interesting you say 90C Phil, mine is rarely above 70C on the gauge. Even during the recent mapping session it didn't get that high.
Sound like a problem ???

Mines in the 3rd cylinder on block does not go over 55 60 at best ??

Mines connected to the big metal lumpy thing under the big flap at the front of the car that everyone tells me to leave shut.
Mr Kindon fitted it, so he'd be best to advise.

Mine starts out at 50 and was sitting at 75+ befor map abd vf43 now sitting about 85+ after driving about 20 mile was told of Andrew Carr who mapped my car others week thats about right Finn/ Andrew car Said best to run of 3rd cylinder as that runs hotest and sandwich plate leek mine be fine so far was going to move to there on next service

Does seem a little low. As you mentioned if Andy has fitted it it will be right.

as the carman says, this is about right, what gauges are you using ??
av used defi and prosport in the past without problems.
only time a had problems was wen using a remote pipe from block to temp sensor.
soon as a put sensor straight into block it was spot on

Swoosh I no not the best.... And 1/8 that screws in block with the temp sender that screws In that .. May just get some decent gauges fin
