It clicks out behind the gearstick at the base mate... See below: Just lift it up from the arrow and it'll come away. Then you'll have to un-do the gator and re-tie wrap it's ass back in.. Just put a new gear knob on mine today and had to do this.. | |

| sussed it fella,mine is slightly different,had 2 screws in the centre console storage box,undone them and it came out,now have a nice shiny sti one ,how did you get on with the engine bay? | |

ah right, sorry dude, mine's a hawk interior, how's the new surround? yeh engine bay looks much improved, didn't spend hours on it but did it properly.. dressed it all afterwards too but some pipes are past blinging! | |

Believe it or not some cheapo dash shine, works a treat and stays on.. going to try some of that halfords engine cleaner stuff though as my auto-glym gear was obviously made before the world went environmentally friendly, it's full of chemicals! prefer something a bit less caustic lol i'm not looking for a detailed bay just clean and tidy you know? | |
