why is the import bhp a lot higher than the uk spec classics what they got in the engine ecu that the uk dont and is there anything i can do to my uk to match this bhp ? is there any thing i can swap from a import?

not 100% sure but i think the bhp difference is mainly down to the the emission laws we have in the uk.................i would imagine a remap should pretty much get the gains you require with maybe some other small mods to help along the way ie exhaust and air filters. not sure if there are any other major differences but the tech heads will soon let you know!

untrue it can be mapped, with a Boared fitted to the ECU Smile This costing around £500 fitted and mapped. We have a mapping session in March if you wish to take part Smile

I've also just read that we have shit fuel in the uk so the ecu's run less power to accomodate this where as the japs have 100ron to play with Twisted Evil

The Mapper i use sorts them out and installes them in your car for you and Live Maps it for £500.

You will have the option of Mafless if you wish also Smile

I thought you could just take the ecu and maf sensor off a import and put it stright on the uk model simples same engine turbo ??

I had a 99 classic. Had to get a simtec ecu for my re mapp.
This would enable launch control anti lag and duel mapp.
If you can get one for 500 and the mapp .......happy days mate

mine is 99 keith i got told that you can buy i licence for 300 for em then the cost of the map . Think this is because my coil pack is just off to the right of the engine and the bigger injectors . Bustin to get mine done keith

a 1999 clasic can be remapped via ECUTek as Kempy says with the cost fo a lience and remap £500

Hes asking if he brings you a standard ecu can u get it mapped via any means for 500 notes
Where as correct me if im wrong it will cost him for the esl then 500 to see it mapped
