| Has anyone had any issues with a burning smell seems to be coming from the front of the car when the engine is hot, it becomes more noticable when idling and the fan comes in, checked the wiring there doesnt seem to be any damaged or burnt wires, the car is still running spot on not missing a beat, I have done over 1000 miles with it like this, my car is a 2001 UK WRX.
The only thing I could thing of was the last couple of times I have topped my flued levels I have used pure coolant.
Sorry removed the last post as I put it in the wrong section | |

| Still seem to be getting this smell happening but cannot seem to find what it is, there doesnt seem to be any oil loss the level is still on full, but I drove it quite hard for a little while yesterday then pulled up and popped the bonnet after a minute or so smoke started coming from inbetween the fan and the water pipe on the right hand side then it just stopped after a minute or 2, I couldnt see directly were it was coming from but a dont think it was any wires as the car was off and no ignition lights on etc | |

| Yeah couldnt see any leaking a think if its nice this weekend I will have to get under it and have a proper look, I have done about 2500 miles now with this happening and its just baffling me, doesnt seem to be any oil loss, but I was just thinking this problem only seems to have happened since the oil change so I wonder if the shit guard is touching anywere | |
