Wash, new grill and de-flapped Empty
PostSubject: Wash, new grill and de-flapped   Wash, new grill and de-flapped EmptyMon 24 May - 8:22

I thought it needed a wash, so I took the opportunity to make a couple of tweaks, as Ive been planning to tidy things up a bit.

BEFORE

Wash, new grill and de-flapped Mud-fl10

AFTER

Wash, new grill and de-flapped No-mud10

MAGPIE IN THE ROAD LEVEL VIEW Laughing

Really liking the cleaner lines and the chin strap lip spoiler looks sweet. Gone is the home made grill, thanks to Papa Greer for the Prodrive one thats sitting pretty at the front.

Wash, new grill and de-flapped Empty
PostSubject: Re: Wash, new grill and de-flapped   Wash, new grill and de-flapped EmptyMon 24 May - 20:39

Thanks for the comments everyone - Ive had flaps on the brain for months now.

Every time I looked at the car my flaps stuck out a mile. I was starting to think "do my flaps look big on this ?"

The car has settled well on the springs now and Ive been scuffin me flaps all over the place, worse still I could hear them catching on all sorts of things and it was getting embarrasing. People were starting to stare and I was getting paranoid.

So I decided they had to go, not the look I'm after, although I'm not quite sure what that look is yet. Maybe I could have had me flaps shaved or tucked a little, Ive heard that can be done, but that seemed like too much trouble.

There was only one course of action open to me - a full flappendectomy.

I'm not saying never, just not right now. Who knows, if someone put some really nice flaps in my hand tomorrow it would be hard to look the other way. But for now I must remain strong.

Its easy to give advice from the keyboard, but youve got to remember someone is going to read it and make a serious commitment at the other end. Do not type lightly my friends.

Flaps......they are not just for Christmas.

Not normally a fan of red cars (s*n*e*l*n* pig ) But yours is a fine example, wheels work well with the red, and looks much better without the flaps Cool

Cheers for all the comments folks. I really do appreciate the views shared.
I just cant put my finger on it, but there is something not quite right, Ive no idea what it is yet. I'm even considering going completely spoilerless too, but I'm not sure thats the answer.

Ho hum, time to get some photoshop tips form our design team here so I can have a fiddle in my lunch hour.
