the wagon passed its vic check today how dvds cos the tax and mot runs out tomorrow i decided to take it off the road and get the things that need doing done. watch this space for a mint wagon

starting work on the wagon tomorrow . Gear box is coming out and going to easy gears for re con and get the old clutch n fly wheel out ready for the new organic fast road exede clutch kit still lots more to do though .

progress made today got the gear box out and cleaned down ready to go for re con . Next thing is to take the clutch and fly wheel off to replace the crank shaft seal then to de grease the engine bay ready for the new clutch and box to come back

its just a waiting game now. Im just waiting for the gear box to come back now . Work done is box out clutch off fly wheel off and engine cleaned free from gear box oil also replaced the cv boots on the front end . I ordered a new turbo to down pipe bolt kit which includes the gasket 2 spigot barings just in case i nack 1 then am ready to rock wen the box comes back

i its is going well its should drive like a dream and smell free gear box oil i mean cant wait to get it back on the road since its the only classic turbo wagon in town

well fitted the new clutch tonight ready for the box going in tomorrow . Fitted a new short shift gear stick too courtesy of greigy cheers mate . Once the box is on its tax and test and away we go ...

well gear box went in today n got every thing connected up ready to run then topped her up with oil . Then fitted me me new short shift gear stick . Then i ran out of time lol was goin out with the wife . So all that needs doing is the exhaust and intercooler putting on and takin off the axel stands then the big test drive fingers cropped

well i got the car back together today but as soon a i went to move it clutch went . It looks like the thrust baring has come apart so out comes the gear box again joy

are you sure ??

how did you refit clutch fork ?

wen back together or before wen box was on the floor

are you doing this urself or is someone helping you ?

yes because you can push it back in with the fork and get a couple of go s of the clutch befor it pops out makes a twang noise. I located the fork as i put the box on it was sat in the two slots on the thrust baring or release baring . Doing this on my own

well av only done this about 40 times..

but by the looks ov it u think you nar what you doing..

so a will let you get on with it ...

PM'D ya,
The clutch was nee problem on the Type R, the release bearing was new off Drew after i bent the original one, is the cage & cir clip that holds the release bearing round the right way, just a thought.

by looking at the old 1 and looking inside the box where the clutch fork is it looks like that has come off. Wen moving back and forth i can hear the clip moving

yes i think so i bought the clutch from maxboost on hear. He replaced the release baring with a new 1 from drew
