Where to start! here's my build thread for my frankenstien scooby!

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Iv owned the wagon now for 3 years after buying it really cheap....Iv'e always wanted one since getting rid of my old vauxhall calibra a few years ago.. It has been sat in my garage under dust sheets having never turned a wheel in all that time due to it being a non starter and being really busy with work. I finally decided to uncover it and crack on. Finally got it running after finding the timing had jumped due to a failed tensioner!! Its an early import and also ran an auto gearbox Sad After getting it up and running i found out the auto box was also knackered!!!... So back under the dust sheet she went. Finally bit the bullet and decided to convert it to run a manual box after being offered a manual box and diff together with all the extra bits and pieces from a mates crash damaged scooby...cheap. Very Happy

This is how it stood for a while tucked in the corner.Decided to facelift the front end just to give it a fresher lool so sourced the parts as well as a few other bits and bobs while i sorted the wiring for the manual converison!

Looking more like a shed inside!
Anyway.... Stared getting some more bits together.

My aim is to try and get the car on the road tax and tested for less than a grand What a Face What a Face Shocked Shocked Shocked .....and do all the work myself...I'll update this as i find the time....

Well i.ve put my name down on the N.B.O so must crack on........

This is how it stood after attacking the many lumps and bumps and minor damage to the rear arch......

Haha...thanks for the good luck messages....I,ve been disheartened with it a few times....took a chance with it when i bought it 3 years ago as a non runner....when i finally got it running i fell in love with the noise the flat four gives....it owes me very little in money at the minute but a lot in hours spent...i could never sell it even though i haven,t drove it yet..
