| Probably been posted before but check this link to find cheapest fuel prices. YES I know Subaru's are best run on Vpower or 99+ octane but many of us also have other guzzlers too... You can also sign up for daily emails for the cheapest fuel of choice within your defined area. http://www.petrolprices.com/ |

| Think it's better and safer for your engine to run on Vpower ..we did for our classic and do now the bug use Vpower or super if desperate but no doubt someone will be along with more info for you soon as to why.

| unless the car has been mapped, a UK car should run on 98oct, running it on v power wont do it any good whatso ever , it may even cause problems, only cars which are imported run ultimate ect | |

Who has told you running on v-power will cause problems? Whoever it was is very wrong indeed, v-power is 99 Ron, that is over and above the recommended minimum 98 Ron recommended by subaru and stated on the sticker inside the fuel flap (98 Ron only) in Uk classics, 95 Ron can be ran in the standard newage cars as the map was set up for it but you will get knock events resulting in the timing being retarded, this will result it less power and reduce fuel consumption. In the classic it can result in piston/bearing damage. | |

| I ran my turbo 2000 for 3 years on 95ron and kicked its head in every single day.. It never ran badly and didn't explode either.. UK cars are supposed to run on 95 Ron and they do.. Unless they are mapped for more power | |
