My wagon is due for its mot in a weeks time and thought the sills at the back where just crushed near the jacking points but just had a look behind the side skirts and there rotten. tried pricing up new sills but cheapest i found so far from derek slacks in boro is £192.98 for right hand side and £203.83 for left hand side and those prices are before vat. tried cleveland panels and a few other places and no luck. if the mechanic i know cannot plate them is there any where anybody knows i could get them really cheap as without the car on the road im knackered for running the animal rescue and dire straights where money concerned as cant afford another car for a fair while Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

I had rotten sills on my classic a year ago, when I got my MOT done the guy at the MOT place did them for me. I don't think he bought any new sills, he just cut the bad stuff out and welded new metal plate in to fill the gaps and where the jacking point was aswell. This was at Warrenby Motors and I think he charged about £60-70 for it.

Is warrenby motors the place up near the gere in redcar, £60 - £70 sounds a lot better than over £400 just for parts Very Happy

Yeah, In Redcar. It's the place on the left just before the bridge and it's the 3rd garage along I think. They seemd to do a good job. The only bad thing was that I took the skirts off myself and broke all the clips because of my ham-fistedness lol
