ok has anyone on here had an american muscle car before,if so what was it make,model,year,engine and what was it like to run on gasoline,service/repair costs etc.

That was just the collective name given to a wide range of big block V8`s i believe...not one individual car!

not an American Muscle...but were built for the American market...
...but I had a Soarer 4ltr V8 with a custom side exhaust fitted to it sounded very nice..
and was doing better MPG than my Subaru... cheers

always been an admirer of american muscle ie.charger,challenger,mustang but always had a love for z28 iroc think they are gorgeous motors.

Love American muscle (not as much as scoobies obviously!) couldn't possibly run an old car e.g mustang, chevelle, charger, challenger, 'cuda etc. but 90's and early 2000's mustangs or camaros might not be too bad to run as a toy. You should check out the American super stock drag racing at York drag way if you haven't already some insane cars there!

i need to get out more al look into that matty cheers,i know quite a few yr ago there used to be a get together at metro centre now and again used to get a crackin turn out with some top motors,not sure if thats still happening.

I never heard about that one but I'm pretty sure the drag racing at York is on bank holiday Mondays not positive though but lee has took his car down for the run what ya brung they do between races at those events so he probs knows what days!

It really is! 'Podzilla' the green chevelle SS that's always there is my fave love that noise of a highly tuned Chevy small block

My mates Mustang does around 15mpg from a big block V8, goes like stink when the pedal is stamped. Repairing them can be cheap or expensive.

Depending on the repairs your doing and whether your handy, simple repairs and servicing isnt that much more than an impreza,

they still meet at the metro centre but dont think it starts til march or april.
i love the old american stuff but cant imagine they much good when u get to a corner
