Alreet, why are the Hawkeye Spec D so cheap? Seen a couple with less than 70k miles on for less than £7500. Why? Is it because they don't look like your typical STi? I like them because of that reason.

I've got a deal for that 55 reg blob STi if I want it, but I may as well got for a newer car with better spec for the same price, when it basically has the same miles on the clockometer.

personally i think £7500 is the going rate for a hawk sti (spec d or normal sti )

and i think anything over £6500 for blob sti is overpriced...

Don't forget though, as these came out mid 2006 onwards they are in the higher tax bracket so are £475 a year tax, but if you get a hawk sti or blobeye sti registered before 23rd march 2006 it's only £275 a year tax.

Why do people get so hung up on the higher tax? Yes it's a rip off, no doubt about it, but when you're running a car that struggles to get high 20's mpg and spending £750, £1k, even more per month on modifying, buying and insuring it, surely there's something majorly wrong if you can't afford £3.85/week extra for tax?

Just letting you know about tax just incase you didn't already know, tax doesn't bother me, just can't see the point in getting a car that is only maybe 1 month younger and the same spec as a car that is 1 month older only for it to be in the higher tax bracket that's all

Fair enough mate. Thanks for letting me know. I just see it mentioned all the time, usually by people who own 2.0 models, and it really bugs me, they brag about getting 0.5mpg or spending £18trillion on a titanium exhausted, then complain about spending an extra 50p a day on tax.

I don't willy wave for owning a yob mobile. I can deffo afford to run one ive been driving scoobies for a good few years now. I still wouldn't pay that much for road tax tho yes it's less than £4 a week but who pays weekly or even saves up for bloody road tax ??
As for the spec D, I wouldn't own one myself cos I'm a self confessed yob lol Smile

How is the road tax less than £4 a week, if its the higher road tax at £475 it's over £9 a week, even if its the lower road tax of £275 it's still over £5 a week, love scoobs and don't mind paying the road tax for them, but sick of the roads being shite that we drive on, the money needs to be used to fill all the pot holes in.

It's not, it's an extra £4 a week, you're paying £275 anyway, no matter what you buy (scooby wise). Even at £9 a week, I eat more than that on my lunch break 5 times a week.
