Dog owners please be vigilant after dogs were stolen in the West Berkshire area over the weekend.
A Jack Russell and two Spaniels were stolen from kennels in Ilsley Road, Compton, one at around 4pm on Friday (01/03) and the others at 8.30am on Saturday (02/03).
Two Patterdale Border Terriers were then stolen from a property in Goring Lane, Mortimer at 5.30pm on Saturday (2/03).
The dog-owner was alerted when he heard the dogs barking. He saw a man holding one of the dogs, running towards a gold Subaru Forrester vehicle. One of the dogs was later found abandoned in Uxbridge.All the dogs stolen are high-value pedigree working dogs
