| Hope you get it sorted mate, hasn't taken you long so far, is the new engine your putting in going to be ok without getting it mapped to suit the mods you are running, especially with you ragging it up the strip, wonder why your lass isn't too impressed with the kitchen, I can't see anything wrong with it | |

| Last night I'm thinking the map should be fine as I'm thinking its only fuel air turbo that gets mapped there isn't anything on an engine that can be mapped I could be wrong we will see | |

| if you are just putting block and heads in you should be ok as long as its a good engine and it is the same v as yours

Why would it need to be remapped as long as the compression ratios are the same which they are it will be fine.. But looking at that plug suggests that your snide eclipse fuel pump has surged a load of fuel and blew the block to bits.. Spark plugs don't just randomly explode like that one seems to have.
In short yes you do need to get it remapped but not because you have changed the engine, but when you have fitted a real walbro fuel pump. Bob Rawle did tell you this when he mapped it the first time. All I can say its a good job you can use a set of spanners m8 cos you're more than likely to be needing the again sometime soon.

| You need to find the cause of the failed engine, the melted spark plug and failed piston are an effect of some thing else, 1st thing to do when you get your engine running is get a wideband AFR meter on it, full throttle fuel ratio should be no more than 11.4:1
If you have got a "cheap Chinese pump" chances are it is the cause, I would suggest removing it and fitting a good quality walbro or HRC. | |
