| Just wondering if somebody can clear this up I was talking to a lad at work last night and he was telling me that if one tyre is knackered u still have to change all 4 at the same time. Is this true or is he winding me up ? | |

| I suppose it all depends on the condition of the tyres, if you have 1 brand new tyre on and the other 3 only have a few mm left on them, then I would of thought that would affect the handling, especially in the wet. | |

| 'Technically' he's right - variations in wheel diameters will fook the diff. But a few mm tread difference will be OK. | |

| As long as the two tyres on either the front or rear axle are almost equal it won't damage nothing. You DO NOT need to replace all 4 tyres at all that is utter bollox. Put the newer tyres on the front for some sideways action balder rear tyres on a Subaru are the best way to learn to drive properly IMO | |

| The old vauxhall 4x4 transfer box used to shit it's self with 2mm tyre difference front to rear, it was a great 4x4 system that lol
The Subaru 4x4 system can handle any tyre wear without a problem. | |
