I posted this on ScoobyNet and got no response Rolling Eyes Hopefully you guys are better Very Happy

Been searching through old thread's. I've got a 2006 Blobeye STi with a backbox and a remap by TrackHound and I'm wondering what modifications to do, in order to achieve a nice 350bhp?

I was thinking along the lines of -

- Turbo Back Exhaust w/ Decat - Maybe Blitz Nur Spec R
- Induction Kit - K&N Typhoon (only because I want to release the Dump Valve noise)
- Walbro 255 Fuel Pump
- EcuTek Remap

Is there anything else I might need?

Do I need to uprate anything like the actuator or boost hoses? Etc...

What is the standard PSI on these? Also what PSI does everyone push there's too?

Full decat and remap by someone decent should see you around the 350bhp mark, but I do like the noise and induction kit gives Very Happy
And I would like you say probably change the fuel pump to be on the safe side.

When you say full decat.. are you referring to turbo back exhaust? Cat-removed (decat)

yes and you will need a walbro, why 350? is 320 not enough

I was going to go for a Roger Clarke Stage 2 Fuel Pump. To be honest... no haha. I want more power, not overly impressed atm. 320 is estimated.. its had a r/r showing 255whp.

The reason for 350bhp fly.. is that ive seen this is about the most you can push the engine before uprating things like turbo etc etc?

Yeah the VF35 is good for 350 but not a lot more than that, the mods listed plus a remap by one of the "trusted" mappers will see you to what you want.

He's one of the best Subaru mappers in the country mate -mapped my Hawkeye STI in February - spent 2.5 hours getting her just how I wanted it. Maps live on the road and explains absolutely everything. Real gentleman.

Bob has mapped my Hawk three times now. Always been very happy with the results.

Andy Kindon hosts mapping sessions for Bob everynow and then. Latest one is full but there might be one in June before NBO which I'm hoping there is.

Don't think you would need a full decat mate, fuel pump and remap should easily take you to the 350bhp club, am no expert but you will be at the limit the engine can take before big bucks are required(forged engine etc) am sure BigClarky was running close to 400bhp on standard engine block without any probs. Stunning looking black beast there mate Cool

I've purchased the following -

- K&N Panel Filter
- HRC 290 Fuel Pump
- Blitz Nur Spec R
- Forge VTA Dump Valve

Will the blue spring be okay in this; I've heard some swap for the Red?

I was toying with the idea of a Decat BUT will this, the above mods an a remap put over over the safe 350 bhp mark? I don't mind more but just concerned the engine/turbo will give in?

Ryan

If you have a widetrack blob STI then you can go 400 no problem safely - some even go up to 450

tbh honest mate I don't know what you'll get out of it - have you got your standard turbo on or an upgrade?

350bhp is about the max with the VF35 turbo that is fitted to your car.

I've got standard turbo Mario.

Jonny Gav - will the mods above plus remap and a decat not push this over 350 surely.. So it's not safe?

Sorry mate I misunderstood - I thought you meant what power would your standard internals take - regardless of the turbo.... get a bigger turbo Very Happy

Thanks for your info bud. I guess I will just go with the decat an see what happens. I think it should push a little more than 340.. I've got 320 now and no decat and a really really bad map.. So a bob Rawle map an the above parts should see me right. Just worried about pushing to much. Was wondering if the decat was overkill on the turbo
