Anyone recommend a decent BMW mechanic? My brothers car (2007 1 series diesel) has gone tits up. The dealer reckons it's a crank & timing chain issue. Obviously their quote was astronomical. Any advice would be welcome please.
Yeah that's why I thought but BNW are saying its a different issue. Robbing cnuts.

Yeah right sounds the same thing same year and model as well Should write in to watchdog :-) see what another's independent garage say that garage near me are good as sorted my x5 I had

My mates dad has a BMW garage in Thornaby, he's been going for 20+ years and is the only garage I'd recommend for BM's, he's not cheap, although cheaper than a dealer, but you can be assured he'll be treated well.
