PostSubject: Local 4wd Rolling Roads? ...And byebye   Local 4wd Rolling Roads? ...And byebye EmptyThu 8 Aug - 12:59

Hey peeps, I don't post on here much, I normally just use the search facility when i need info and have bought a few things in the for sale section but I have met a few of you seperately. Anyway, after 2 years of owning my calssic Impreza Wagon I've finally saved up enough to buy an Audi RS6 which I collected on Sunday.
After about 15 Jap cars this is the first German car I've ever owned. I must admit, I am impressed with how smooth it is getting up to speed with that big 4.2 V8 twin-turbo engine. It's lots of fun but in a very different way to the Scooby. It has 450BHP standard but because I am who I am I'm wanting to get a more aggressive map for the auto-box/torque-converter as well as Stage 1 ECU. I plan on getting this done by posting away my ECU and TCU to the Isle of Man at the end of this month and once I've got them back in the car a couple of days later I will be looking to get the RS6 on the rolling road to see what sort of power i'm getting and thus if i have any issues. I'm not on any VAG forums yet, and from my initial search I'm not finding any massive local forums for Audis. I was wondering if you guys could point me in the right direction - if you can recommend somewhere local to me (I live in Dunston by the MetroCentre) with a decent priced 4WD RR or if you know of anywhere doing a RR day in September that maybe I could tag-on to? If anyone knows of any decent local forums suitable to my RS6 any recommendations probs wouldn't go a-miss.
Cheers!

Rolling road up your way woudl be sideways-dan, take a look in the business section.

Proper monster car youve got there. Enjoy.

And see you back on here in about 6 months Wink Laughing

Only kidding, maybe.

I'll have a look for sidewaysDan, cheers.
Also I've just found Audi-sport.net, although not too many RS6 owners/discussions going on there.

Sideways Dan doesn't have Rolling Road Keith - He has a Hunter digital 4 wheel alignment machine.

The closest RR is probably Jamie at Evotune in Durham

Okie dokie, I already PM'd sideways Dan like, nevermind.
I found that evotune online, ta.

If I did feel like coming back to something more rugged in 6 months time I'd probs actually get an Evo, just cos i've never had one. My lass and dog wanted something with a little more confort than my Scooby tho :-s
