Does not have to be a Subaru dealer.

Any VAT registered garage using genuine or OEM spec parts with correct oils etc ... and the warranty is ok. Myth that not using main dealers is a warranty rejection.

Derek Slack is where Iddy took his to be inspected I think. The way they stripped the engine down wasn't the best from what I seen.

Obviously a service is a routine job for them.

Sure it will be out of warranty now being an 08, unless hes took out an extended one. But to be fair, the warranty Subaru UK offer is a pile of shite anyway.
I use Alyn @ ASP for my service bits, i get the reg, date & mileage on the receipt, then get a repitible garage (Drew  Laughing )to service it the same day & stamp the book, i take a picture of the mileage along with date stamp on the picture. That way it keeps everything in order, if I ever came to sell it.

No problem,

I've been looking at the receipts I have for Subaru main dealer prices, I'm saving around 60%, for servicing, still using OEM parts & an oil of my choice (Millers) & a mechanic I know & trust, who is well respected in the Subaru community. In my opinion its a no brainer, I'd rather have my book stamped by a Subaru specialist & save some money at the same time.

Yeh you are right im not sure how much a main dealer service would cost as this will be my first service since i bought it back in march but would probly expect around the £450-£500. Is drew the lad with the classic wagon?

Fook me for that price I'd want a reach around as well,  lol!
