| Hi just about to buy some 6 Pot AP Racing Calipers, come with unknown make pads, discs that are worn and obviously the bells, calipers are in good nick, but are they worth what I'm about to pay (basically for calipers and bells. £700
Any opinions welcome. I can't find any for less than twice the price

| Alan - APs are great brakes, but if you are thinking of selling the car why bother laying out another £1,100? Godspeed discs are minimum £350 - genuine APs are way more expensive then I would be changing the pads on them for peace of mind with new discs so you can add another £100-£200 on top bringing it to a total of about £1,300. If you are thinking of spending that amount then get yourself a brand new 6 pot AP Racing set with 362mm discs. http://shop.grahamgoode.com/ap-racing-big-brake-kit-362mm-6pot-subaru-impreza-gt-wrx-sti-ggs1364b-64786-p.aspSave up the extra £300 andf If you speak to Andy Girling there and sweet talk him he will do you trade price for about £1,600 |

| I can't go bigger than 330's mate and they seem to be rare as rocking horse shit. I've got the car advertised purely to sell at that price, which to me is the right price, if it doesn't go, it doesn't go. Not bothered either way. If it does sell I'll sell the calipers separate. I've still got my 2.5 to build yet, if that goes in, the price is going up I'm thinking of buggering off to Thailand/Malaysia/Vietnam/Singapore /Oz for a year or two, but don't have to sell the car, would just make it happen earlier. Plus I have a couple of tricks up my sleeve which means I may be able to do the trip 3 months at a time and come back and work for 6 months before going onto next stage. Bit of a funny one, but it's not stopping me from building the car | |

| Yeah exactly, things went a bit pear-shaped a couple years back and now, well, I've got not to lose and if I can work a 3-6 month on 3 month off contract where I am now, I'd be over the moon. What's even better is that they've got a base in Bangkok which I may be able to work from, so might not even need to come home | |

| £280 for a pair? That's feck all, my other option was PF bells and rotars, replacement rotars are £400+ for them. | |

| Cheers Darren, sounds good, just want to see a bit more of the world before I'm old and grey.
SG it's not a bad job I have to say, not blowing my own trumpet but I'm good at it and will be hard to replace hence the reason I'll probably be able to flit back and forth

Dave when I had almost 500 horses to stop there isn't anything else out there that was going to beat the AP Cosworth 356mm brakes I had on - the fronts only retail at £2,070 and I was very lucky to have been given trade pricing on them - £1,600 is a cheap trade for the cost of my life Would I do it again - damn right I would. |

| Godspeed bad? And yet when I had their discs & Kevlar pads on me old bug, I thought they were very, very good? Car only had about 260bhp but really rated them, great stopping power. I'll even go so far as to say that I had more faith in them than I do in my current PF set-up with brembo sport pad all round. Hoping that new PF rotors will change all that though. | |

| Spec the right PF parts and the brakes are unreal. my tiny little AP 4 pots have a cracking bite on them, mind you, we did cough up £600+ for some rotors and pads.
