Subject: Turbo intake hoses Tue 16 Jun - 9:31
I amlooking at getting a silicone turbo intake hose for my 2008 hatch sti. Where would be the best place to get one from and what prices would they be? Ive seen some on ebay but not sure whether they are any good.

I got the Perrin one, I think it was from Amber performance or Tarmac sportz, around 200 quid.

You're better off paying good money for a decent one. I got one off the 'bay' and it didnt fit very weĺl and ended up being chewed to pieces by the jubilee clamp. Maybe my fault for using a jubilee clamp but the saying goes, you buy cheap you buy twice.

I also heard the cheap ones can suck in (collapse) when your turbo is spooling ???

AMR do an aluminium intake pipe which won't collapse, decent price too. Not sure they make them for the Hatches etc, but can ask they're quite good at getting back to poeple. Was going to go with it myself, but not big enough, plus I've got major decision issues coming up with what to do with my car

Yeah they can. I watched a video on youtube about it. Cant say the one i fitted did it but it wasnt on long enough. It was a right pain to fit past the intake manifold and onto the turbo. I didnt trust it so just bought a standard full intake side setup from a breaking sti.
