The power delivery of the two engines is totally different, the 2.5ltr has more torque wich fools you into thinking its a faster car whereas the 2.35ltr delivers the power smoother and keeps pulling so although it feels slower its actually the quicker car. The 2.5ltr on a gt35r runs out of puff at around 6000rpm and its quite noticeable whereas on the 2.35ltr the gt35r seems to keep pulling and it may explain why I have hit the limiter a few times Also on full chat on drag and track the 2.5ltr will see around 100/110 oil temps where as I have never seen over 90 on the 2.35ltr.

| am confused here. just wish a had more time on me hands to do me homework anyway a can see where jonny is coming from using the 2.2 block due to the strength ov it. but why use a 2.5 block and take it down to 2.35 and remember we talking about cars what are going t get used on the road more than the track.. well i am sticking with what i would prefer for a high powered "road car" and 2.5 would be my choice everyone to there own ehh ??? | |

500bhp+ can crack the cylinder walls at the top of the block on a 2.5 if not strengthened- I am sure Steve told me today he also had this problem with his old 2.5 block. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

| Well I have had a nice little drive to Swindon to see Bob Rawle to get the car mapped, with all the new changes. wow wow wow wow
Bob spent 4 hours changing alll the settings with Race Rom and has had to put in a shit load more fuel at the top end which you can really feel.
I am hoping to get the car on the rollers next week before NBO, to see what improvement the changes have made.

my heads are getting the rings done aswel Phil, it will not do 600 on normal fuel, but will defo with a 10% mix. Its running 93% duty on 800cc injectors, which I am told is about 585bhp and that is on tescos best. I am looking at getting the wheel changed to a billet type which then might release another 30hp or so as that is whats happening with other turbos that are getting modified. So you never know it might make it on normal fuel.
