garrett dont make an exhaust housing to direct that to ur car, HKS manufactured that one you have thats why the turbo is so expensive new, your best bet is send it to turbo dynamics as they do subaru exhaust housings that mate to garrett turbos, doubt this will be cheap tho and imo a gt25 wont make 400bhp, not dissin wat yav bought just worth bearing in mind before ya spend on that turbo to find it doesnt make the power ur wanting bud

As Andy says send it to Turbo Dynamics sent mine there when the bearings went, it cost me about £750 to get it rebuilt including a new core.

why not just keep it twin scroll and go that route instead ?

less lag and quick spool up and boost !

You should be able to get the rest of the bits to convert to twin scroll from some of the scooby breakers !

don't know about price though lol! lol! lol!

They are like rocking horse s**t to get hold of second hand.

But thats the way I would do it as well go twin scroll, the spool up is alot better.

done a bit researching and i can get the turbo rebuilt with the correct exhaust housing fitted for around the £500 mark, is it worth bothering with andy or should i put it to the back of the shed and buy a 20g?

it looks like it could do with a new compressor wheel also, i know someone who had a HKS 2835 56t, which is larger than the one you have and they couldnt get more than 370bhp from it although on paper it should have been around 400 bhp, a decent 20g with 650cc injectors on ur car and couple other bits n bobs should see your 400bhp goal Smile

Its about a 350bhp turbo IMO. Not worth the hassle or cost of converting it when there are uk sourced turbos that will easily make the power. Andy Grady may well be selling his GT30 soon - that made 430bhp and would be a straight swap on ...

imo a gt30 will be too much for a standard 03 sti engine, the weak point being the conrods
