| I thought a better start one of these since i sold my lovely bugeye a month ago Since having a baby 3 weeks ago i thought i better be a bit sensible so opted for a wagon for practicality.I'd been looking for a nice 2004/2005 wagon with sensible mileage and if possible the PPP pack.I found a 2005 wagon with slightly more miles than id liked but it was forsale at a main dealer so i was trusting it would be ok.A price was haggled out over the phone and i bought the car without driving it as it was located at the bottom of england. This is something i'd never done before as i know the dangers as im in the trade .There was a muck up with a meeting point (manchester) so the dealer kindly(after a heated conversation) got the car sent to me in scotland The dealer didnt really say much about the spec of the car other than it had a few things done to it and was quiet quick. On getting the car and putting some decent tyres on it i gave it some beans and yes its pretty quick. Not as fast as my bug was (350+bhp)but it stops on a dime. This is where i went round the car and gave it a good looking at and it turns out it has the Powerstation Porsche/AP 360mm brake conversion I also then was sent a folder of receipts totally more than £7500 on mods over the last 30k of ownership in VF43, 2 maps, loads of Whiteline kit inc front and rear rollbars, droplinks, anti lift and anti dive kits, bushes etc, full Milltek inc sport cat right down to little things like the spec C oil pump. To say im chuffed is an understatement.Ive been give the rolling road graphs from different stages of tune and its currently putting out 323bhp and 338lbs.Its supprising low on torque but when looking through the receipts i see its had a full gearbox overhaul at powerstation so i guess he was advised to limit the torque to save the box.Having already suffered a box failure on my bugeye im inclined to leave the torque where it is and just increase the power to around the 350 mark. Plans so far are fit Prodrive mudflaps and carbon mirrors get a HT Autos front splitter and get Racerom fitted then enjoy. Hope you like it [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |

| Cheers guys.I must get it re-remaped as im not liking the map on it.Not very smooth or progressive with the throttle pedal,a big wallop of torque (like a diesel) then seems to run out of puff after 5500rpm.Bugger that, racerom getting fitted with flatfoot shifting, auto blip down changing and switchable maps please Staying away from launch control this time after last times mishap | |

| most of the standard turbos run out of puff as you put it on the 2.5 motors, even the vf43/48 when mapped to 1.5bar will drop to around 1.1bar, p.s that has to be one of the smartest wagons iv seen | |
