How important is it to match gearbox part numbers up mine is TY754VN1AA can I use any other box or does it have to have the same part number found 1 the same but the fecker is in Aberdeen ?????

if you buy a gearbox with another code you also need the matching diff mate if you find a matching number then you can use your diff

different models ect mate ive went from a uk turbo box and diff to a wrx gearbox and diff and its different. alot more perky now. i do have a list of all the boxes but its far to much to post on here. sure theres a couple kicking about on the site for sale mate with the diffs to match try finn or drew

Far eaiser to source a local box and diff mate i know of one from a freind i could check condition for you but im sure either finn or drew will have what you need failing that can pick a box and diff up on fleabay for 250.

Hmm cheers lads am gonna have a pop down to the meet tonight so if you's are there will have a bit crack on my gearbox might be ok it's an intermitant grind and type of belt slip noise if something's catching heed done right in with it

av got a few rear diffs here for classic
so if you buy a box what wont match ur rear diff gis a shout
and will try and find you the link what shows gearbox codes and what rear diff should be

Piece of piss mate lol gearbox had to come out cos the crankshaft oil seal has gone so it's canny good I blew the box now rather than after I had changed the seal ;-)
