little things please my little mind lol

was board yesterday and needed a new gear nob as the car had a halford special on it when i bought it so i stripped the piston out of the bairns broken mini moto and decided to turn it into a gear nob.

to do this once removed from the engine i melted plastic into the inside of the piston so there was somthing to drill into for the gear stick, cleaned it all drilled the hole and glued it into place, ( probably one of the easiest things i have made ).

now its sorted i think it looks awsome will ad pics later to see what ya think.

I did something similar when I bought my first scoob, had a crappy plastic knob on it so I ordered a leather one from ebay. Anyway, when it arrived it didn't fit properly, it had a massive gap between the knob and the gaitor
So at work one day I noticed an old rusty spanner socket on the shelf and thought ahh, that'll do for my gear knob.
So I shined it up with silvo and stuck it on, filled up the gap nicely.





Replaced it with a Momo one not long after,
you can't beat DIY car mods though

love making stuff me, the bairn wanted a gaming chair so a made one out of a bucket seat and fitted it to the base of an office chair lmao our lass was fuming when she came in from work and i had the front room full of bits lmao

It's normal to have the front room full of car bits isn't it?
I have the odd car part in most rooms of the house
I think there's a full car here somewhere
