| Dearest Balders, it would actually be viewed as being libelous rather than slanderous (in accordance with the two distinct torts that involve the communication of false information about a person, a group, or an entity.) To be quite correct, Slander is any defamation that is spoken and heard whereas Libel is any defamation that can be seen, such as a writing, printing, effigy, movie, or statue. Both are deemed defamation as libel and slander are civil wrongs that harm a reputation; decrease respect, regard, or confidence; or induce disparaging, hostile, or disagreeable opinions or feelings against an entity or individual such as your good self. (Notwithstanding any prior history that is considered to be general knowledge and therefore in the public domain which could be repeated and therefore called upon to bear witness to any opinions expressed.) As I said above, the injury to your good name or reputation is affected through written or spoken words or visual images and as the laws governing these torts are identical, you can seek equal and reasonable recourse through the courts if you so feel you have been defamed. Libel is usually easier to prove as the evidence itself is physical in the written word, as is the case here. Alternatively if you did not wish to rely upon the law of the land, you could just pop round and put my windows out or as you are more akin to gentlemanly conduct, you could gently swat your lacey glove across my chin and challenge me to a duel. | |

| I saw a bugeye WRX on auto trader that sounded excellent, low miles, nice colour, FSH, de-cat pipe, re-map and a few other bits, I thought "wow too good to be true!" Then further down the page they added the words 'all work carried out by eclipse performance' so I instantly clicked off it and looked elsewhere lol | |
