| I have this warning light that keeps on coming on, it's something to do with the headlight height adjustment, but does not seem to cause a problem, my MOT is due within the next month, so will it fail an MOT with this light on. | |

| Depends if the headlight height is out of line or not? It won't fail because of the light, but it might fail if the warning means that the lights are aimed too high or too low. | |

| It is a failure with the light on. It'll either be the front or rear sensor on the with bone or rear latteral arm that's causing the fault they not cheap ( I think £300 rings a bell)

Drew Cheers Drew how will I find out weather it's the front sensor or rear sensor that is causing the fault.

Drew It is a failure with a warning light on? Really? I didn't know that. I always have them done by a friend, but properly and he's never pulled me for a warning light, always just told me to sort it, which I have done. Sorry about that OP, my mistook ETA actually Drew, why would wish bone or Latteral arm turn on the headlight adjuster warning light?

| If the headlight aim is ok it is a pass and advise, certinally can't fail it for having that warning light on, as long as the adjusters are not seized. if the MOT tester can not physically prove that the adjuster is seized the benifit of doubt shoud always be given. Hope this helps. | |

| Where such systems are fitted, they must work; however, it is accepted that it may not be possible to readily determine the functioning of self levelling systems. In such cases, the benefit of the doubt must be given. You can only fail them if they are oviously broken, missing, snapped etc. If you cant see/prove the defect you Must give the benifit of doubt. You can not fail it on the warning light alone., PS I am an MOT tester. | |

| Not a reason for rejection, providing beam pattern passes the aim test then they can not be proven faulty the presenter must get benefit of the doubt, pass and advise.
I'll test it for you if your struggling to get it tested.
