| The best would be a HKS one but they cost £300+ for a real one. There's loads and loads of fakes about they normally go for about £80 stay well clear | |

| Waste of money, stick with what god gave it. Either that or block the hole, close the turbo waste gate, fit an external one and look forward to some turbo chatter | |

There's loads and loads of fakes about they normally go for about £80 stay well clear Good to know! I saw a second hand one on Jap performance parts website for about 150 quid something like that so are the cheaper ones no good? I've seen a few cars with the forge ones like

When bob rawle was mapping it he said that he thinks they run better with the recirculating one on but I love the sound! (Very childish I know!)

| Can't fault my forge one, had it 2 years and never a problem. I've heard that springs sometimes snap in them though | |

| Might be the one to go for then! I've seen them for about 150 quid on demon tweeks and the like. What about the turbosmart ones? Are they any good? | |

No idea, but it's not the best thing to do unless you fancy rebuilding your turbo every few thousand miles. It's how rally cars produce the chatter....and they replace their turbo after a few events. Andy Forrest said the same, the engines run better with standard recirc valves than they do with vent-to-air valves.

| Getting it mapped would help yes, but its not necessary to be honest. it should be ok, give it enough time the ecu should re-learn this new setting providing its not massively different, but to be fair i rarely hear anyone having problems when installing most bov's. but i wouldnt recommend blanking it off unless you have a TD series turbo as the VH series compressors just aren't strong enough and will only be a matter of time before it pops lol saying that people do run these plates on VH 3's/4's range just they don't last very long on the VF 2's Also if for what ever reason it decides to throw a fault code, my friend has a code reader that can take it off | |

| I had a Forge one on my silver Bugeye and had no problems with it in nearly 3 years, when I bought my Hawkeye it had a GFB dump valve on which is really loud and sounds like its going off in the glove box when in the car, I know some don't like them but I personally love the sound. | |
