the car i've just got has a regu 96-r exhaust does anybody know anything about them

When vine place were on the go they bought a container full of exhausts there were quite a few different makes but they had a load of regu so im pressuming theyre jap import stuff

the bits of info i've found looks like it is from japan and only ment to be 86db
3" down pipe connects to a 2 1/2" for about 1" then back up to 3" does anybody know why they have that bit of drop
