Well I have been thinking about it a lot and trying to decide what car that isnt a subaru I could realistically get instead and still be happy here is my list:
1) Nissan skyline GTR R33
2) Toyota supra
3) Mazda RX7
4) Focus RS MK1
5) Saph Cosworth
6) Evo TME
7) Pulsar GTiR

That is it that's the list of cars I would only ever own so I needed to ask myself a few questions.

1) Would Sarah be happy about me owning any of these cars ? NO
2) Do I know anything about any of these cars ? NO
3) Will I have the same chew on with these cars ? YES maybe more..
4) Will any of these cars get me to work in the snow ? 2 would
5) Would I miss my Scooby ? yes
6) Am I going to sell it ? AM I FOOK GOING TO SELL IT !!!
7) Am I going to spend anymore money on it ? I Will do what I need to do to maintain it its fast and shiny enough.
8.) Do I care if she is not happy about me spending money on the car ? Yes but life's a bitch....
9) Am I ever going to own a "sensible car" ? Naahhh
10) should I get a cheap runabout and keep the Scooby ? No I will never use it when there's a 380+ BHP impreza sat there..

Thanks for all the advice peeps and it looks like I'm here to stay with possibly one of the best Scoobs in teeside Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Yes it really is that good Cool

That's the spirit Very Happy bounce

Glad to hear you're keeping it mate.

This is how it's gone with my lass.
I had my classic when I met her. It cost too much to run, so she encouraged me to sell it and buy something sensible, so I did. Ran a VW Boring TDi for 9 months. Went to the lakes in it over Hartside, done nothing but complain about it as it was really really shit.

She told me to buy an Audi TT as the Bora was boring. So I did. Ran that for 2 months and done nothing but complain that it was crap to drive, not as good as a subaru and on the brink of costing a fortune. She told me to sell that at the start of winter.

So I did and bought a Nissan 350Z, which we both loved, but got buried in the snow several times and complained that the car was shite in bad weather and costing me a fortune in days off work, so traded that in for the STi. Laughing full circle, score, I win.

Now all I have to do is keep the car looking standard and tune the suspension and engine lol!
