Just thought I'd put a stage by stage wheel refurb for you guys.....there are wheel refurbs then there are the HYDROtek refurb its safe to say its goes that stage further....
First up your standard wheel straight un curbed or needing a refurb....

[/img]
The next few stages I haven't got pictures but it goes in for a chemical strip/ blasted for any corrosion/ refurb if needed and comes back freshly powder coated....
[/img]
In this case a nice anthracite finish, the next stage is to key this down, painfully to do to a freshly refurb wheel but it comes into play later....

[/img]
Once this is done its needing a good clean down and the wheel is left like this....a dull matte looking anthracite I quite like it tbh....
[/img]
The next stage is to prep it ready for dipping.....a lot of masking but worth it to save any pattern stretch once dipped into the tank....
[/img]
It's now ready to dip....the wheel comes out the tank coated where needed and looking like this....
[/img]
Once the wheel has been in the rinse and rid of any chemicals and excess pattern it is left to dry......it dries a natural matte looking colour....which I like and can also offer this finish....

[/img]
But not for this costumer he's going high gloss so once cleaned again and heated up its off the the spray booth for its finish coat, but like said I can also do this in a matte clear finish if wanted.....

And there you have it.....few pictures of the finish in different light conditions......it's safe to say your wheels go through a lot but nothing is untouched and its just not the fronts getting the attention, cheers for looking peeps and that's the HYDROtek refurb ;0)
