Legacy Turbo Questions Empty
PostSubject: Legacy Turbo Questions   Legacy Turbo Questions EmptyThu 2 May - 9:01

hi, so some of you may have seen my thread in new members, right the things I would like to know are,

what are these closed deck engines good for??? I am aiming for 300-350bhp.

what do I need to do to get it there???

is the superchips FCD good enough or do I need to get it pulled out and a chipped ECU fitted????

also what is actually meant by Closed Deck Engine????

Closed deck engines are good for 350 BHP easy. The only weak point in them is the crank but 350 shouldn't be a problem.

Here is a pic of the difference between open and closed deck Legacy Turbo Questions Null-44

As far as the mapping part for your car I'm not sure but maybe you would need a standalone ecu like a simtek they are not cheap.

ooooooo ok then, so now I need to know what I know need to get the more power I desire, so far I have cone filter, FMIC, Cat-Back, DV and Superchips ABC Fuel Cut Defender.

what's a safe level of boost for these engine???

do I need to change fuel pump or injectors???

whats the best Diameter down pipe and De-Cat to use, I think its got a 2.5inch Cat-Back.
