01 plated WRX knocking

My mate has just test drove a 01 plated WRX which had a knock going over bumps - it appeared to come from the N/S/R. Any ideas?

Also - in the receipts was a £150 charge by Scooby Clinic for fitment of a TD04 Turbo - Is this a replacement or an upgrade?


The car has 75000 is miles and in good nick - is £4000 a reasonable price

Most likely shocks/struts, but I'm sure one of the pro's will give an opinion soon. I had both rears on my 04 replaced about a year after purchase and have since had to do fronts too.

The seals are made out of dark chocolate and internals made out of highland toffee

tdo4 is a orignal turbo on bugeye wrx knocking 9 times out ov 10 is shocks

As Carlos says knocking at the rear is the most common fault on a newage subaru, the rear shocks need replacing, the td04 is the standard turbo for that car.
