Engine knocking :(

Not Subaru but worth a laugh...

My job card report from tother day was as follows ...

Fault - Engine sounding abit ropey/banging.

Notes - Customer has done 20,000, NEVER checked the oil level, happy to admit it too. The oil light has never been on, car drives fine and still does 100mph with ease. Needs it back like yesterday as he really relies on it. Customer is VERY high profile and WILL kick off if not covered under his warranty (He's the Falcons rugby team manager) ...

So, whipped out the sump plugs, out came 1litre of oil, MAX! Should take approx. 7.5litres. Removed engine and whirl winded it into pieces ... Was struggling to see much on the top end, no evidence of picking up etc ... Shocked to say the least!

Piston 4 though ...

I laughed too. He's getting a new short motor though under warranty, joys of next weeks task when the new parts and modified block comes in

falcons lol.......so they dont put oil in there car or flush the toilet!! was working there a few weeks ago....the place stinks of piss!!   

Yeah, seemed abit 'castle wall' to be fair. I said read the handbook for oil usage 900ml per 1000miles is acceptable. He says he shouldn't have to pay for the oil, its not his fault is uses it!

Shocked he hasn't mentioned fuel yet...
