Methanol instead of V-power Empty
PostSubject: Methanol instead of V-power   Methanol instead of V-power EmptySun 13 Oct - 20:02

Evening all,

Given the lack of Shell petrol stations where I am how feasible is it to run 95RON and 10% methanol, I know it will never be as good as V-power but will it give similar gains?
Much as I want the Forester to go quicker I don't want to be planning my journeys around Shell petrol stations.

Thanks

You'll need it mapped cos when you run meths it dilutes the fuel so runs leaner, to which the mapper adds more fuel which in turns then means less mpg.so not really worth it

I thought methanol could be used as an octane booster?

By getting it mapped and adding more fuel will it give more hp with the methanol?
