Can anyone tell me if my cars fitted with AVCS I have V7 Impreza WRX Wagon, My Check Light came on so i pluged in my obd tool and came up with two codes Sad
1st : P0171 System too lean
2nd : P0340 Camshaft position sensor "A" circut
What I need too know is whether its fitted as there are two types of Camshaft sensor,one for and one without AVCS, anyboby ????

Fault code P0340 used to come up on mine occasionally then go out again after 3 starts (V8 STI), was advised to clean up the engine earths with a bit of sand paper/emery cloth, did this and has never been back on since, this was about 4-5 months ago, mine never had the lean mixture fault stored but could be worth a try as i priced a camshaft sensor up for mine and wasn't cheap.

PMSL.....Mr Kindon is right, some of the JDM wrx's came with AVCS but as far as I am aware non of the euro/uk wrx's did, only the newage sti until hawkeye when both the wrx and sti got it.
