| Just been doing a bit of research on how my engine differs from earlier models and same age wrx, quite interesting how many changes there are ha! Yeah this is how I liked to spend a Sunday ha! So according to my research new age sti's up to 2006 don't have tgv's, but after 2006 they all do? Does that mean that my V9 sti will have tgv spacers or jdm non tgv intake manifold? Also didn't realise V7 and up models had AVCS (Active valve control system) fitted which I'm guessing is subaru's version of v-tec, and some models (usually jdm) have duel AVCS? Who knows their stuff? | |

| At what power will the tvg's become restricting? I now the are always more restrictive than deletes but at what point will it limit power? | |

| Also throw in that a lot of lad build 2.1 stroker engines and use AVCS heads for better performance/spool/gains, | |

| So is it only sti's that have AVCS? Had a few races with wrx's with similar power and didn't seem much different except on top end power but thought that was due to gearing! wondering if AVCS makes much difference? | |

| I wast told that big turbo cars can spool up to 500rpm sooner with avcs, and that the wiring for tgv can be used and re-pinned to allow a wrx to use avcs providing you have the sti ecu, and the heads of course | |
