| Bought an obd2 reader of eBay for £15 and dash command app for £7 Now I get live data feed, bhp, torque, coolant temp, boost etc etc all live and more inc data logging, fuel/air etc. Plus if you have a pioneer headunit unit with the app link (which I haven't yet) you can display it all on the headunit too | |

| Yeah mines running on iphone, it's an obd wifi one, phone connects to it as if it was a wireless router. First box I seen was £100 approx then down to £15. Works a treat and for £25 it's a cool little toy | |

| Would any of the info alert me to the potential "typical" 2.5L failure occuring or at least the damage starting / engine stressing ? | |

| Just been looking at the dash command app, looks cool definitely getting it Don't think you would get many warning signs/readings of the pistons going kgt, it would just happen one day lol | |

Doubt it mate as it doesn't seem to have a knock sensor feature. The thing that was most prominent on mine was a slight judder under loads (like a spark plug off) but an instant drop in fuel consumption.

| Just downloaded the app, it's a lot better than the inovate software I have been using with my OT-2
What head unit can be used with it?
Really interested in that!

You buy the device off eBay listed above, then plug it in to your OBD port then download the Dash Command app from the AppStore onto your iPhone and connect to the device plugged in via Bluetooth and get all the information that the Dash Command app can give you
