Hawkeye engine light Empty
PostSubject: Hawkeye engine light   Hawkeye engine light EmptySat 29 Mar - 18:20

My 56 reg hawkeye r sport has been behaving funny recently. It started by having a flat spot between 2500rpm and 3500rpm, it felt like someone was applying the brakes while I was trying to accelerate, under amd over that rev band it was performing fine. This happened for 2 or 3 journeys to work, and then returned to normal.

Driving home tonight, the engine light came on. Car was performing fine and didn't feel different in anyway. I pulled over, switched the engine off and restarted it again, and the light was still on. I drove home and the loght stayed on but the car was driving still driving fine.

Anybody got any ideas?

Thanks Smile

Get the code read to find out exactly what it is, most likely maf sensor or lambda sensor.
