was chatting to my bro today and he got caught speeding in south Yorkshire (average speed camera's) he was doing 81 in a 50 zone....how the fook can the charge him £800 and 6 points!!! WTF!!!!

They go on a %age of the speed.if hes been under 70 would have been a lot less but he exceeded the national speed limit..if you get caught over 105 your lookin min 12 mnth ban £1500 fine and 6points.. the courts are just legal robbing bastards. i know we all speed but 80 in a 50 is just tough shit maybe he will learn or at least use his eyes or keep them open lol

The point is he was doing more than 30mph above the stat limit, he was damn lucky not to have been handed a ban. Fine and points seem stiff but I bet he'd be screwed if he was off the road. Plus his insurers would have thrown the book at him. I used to get folks in the insurance office who'd been banned for excessive speed and they used to leave in tears or not insured at all !

31mph over the stated limit in roadworks , where I believe the limit is also set to protect the workforce within the roadworks, and 11mph over maximum legal limit is very naughty!!
