MISSFIRE / OVERBOOST UNDER HARD ACCELERATION

HI

got another niggle with my car now its all on the road & tested

upon hard accererlation in 1st , 2nd & occasionaly 3rd gear im getting a brick wall effect then its off like fcuk

appers to missfire / overboost & hit the what feels like the rev limiter , fuel cut & pops & bangs like a group b rally car for a second or 2 then its off again

cant see ive fitted something in the wrong place everythings looks to be ok

could this be coilpacks ?
fuel cut

holds 1.0 bar frim but spikes to 1.3 now & then

would it need remapping if ive just swapped wrx odb engine with an sti cdb engine , running my loom , engine loom , ecu & tdo5 still
changed the apexi filter for blitz sus & thats it

could it be a duff maff ?

fitted new ngk prr7b plugs & still doing it
doesnt miss on idle & can drive it round off boost fine all day long & even build up to high speed / boost slowly only when you nail it ???

What model car is it/what year???

check the loop pipe on the boost solinoid they crack and split which causes this, sounds like over boost and fuel cut

this one happened with mine so worth eliminating it

Bit info for you, depending on what ecu you have it will most likely be fuel cut, the W6 and U8 ecu's fuel cut at 0.95 bar and the Z4 & Z5 ecu's fuel cut at 1.05 bar boost, this is most likely the cause of your problem, your boost control shouldn't vary between 1 bar and 1.3 bar, so it sounds like the boost control system is the route cause of your problem.

got v7 ecu with esl daughter board and custom map was fine on ither engine ran1.1 vbar boost and 329 bhp car feels quicker maybe injectors or will check pipes again. Car is 1995 wrx import engine is sti motor that had v5 ecu fittwd

before V3 (PHASE1.5) ther is no difference at all between wrx and sti engine, could be as simple as actuator arm sticking/jamming slightly or bent, this would cause it to boost spike
