help needed, oil leak Empty
PostSubject: help needed, oil leak   help needed, oil leak EmptyThu 5 Jun - 21:50

I have replaced the rocker cover gaskets an now have an oil leak on drivers side.
I have tried another set of new seals but still leaking I have also tried the old seals back on and still leaking.
I have tried a gasket sealer on the seal and let it set but its still leaking.
could the rocker cover be warped?

any one had this issue or any ideas of how to fix?

thanks.

Did you replace and re-seal the half moons as well,
What about the bolt seals,
What sealant did you use? Threebond.
Roughly where is it leaking from.

Hi sorry yes I replaced the half moons and bolt seals, can remember the name of the sealer but got it from a Subaru dealer and it was grey and not cheap.
I can see exactly were it is leaking from but it's some were along the bottom more towards the front of the car and running back over, had the camera down and cant see anything Sad

sounds to me like your oil leak wasn't the cam cover in the first place, hence why you are no further forward, its most likely one of the camshaft seals bud
