Subject: Help please downpipe

Fitted new exhaust system which has twin pipes on down pipe but it hits the steering coloum bolt any idears
I bought of lad of net as was breaking it
Same year and model same turbo and stand position
Yet iv fitted it and it hits the bolt ?

Is the pipe not ment to have an indentation in to avoid the bolt?
