just been in loft in house i been in for last 6 months and i have found a mint if not un used j s sharpe fly fishing rod model scottie 9"6' slit cane inpregnated rod in gen case, after looking on net it seems to be a very sort after make, so do any of you know about fishing or some where i can take to get it looked at/valued ?

just found this and sold for 161notes 11 year ago

Not sure about the Christies valuation. Ive got some nice Hardy stuff and it cost less than that. You can pick up a Sharpe cane rod for under £100 vintage in good nick. But you should get £50-60 for it which is better than a kick up the arse with a hob nail boot, since you got for nix. Try the owld flea bay if nowt else.

Your nearest fishing shop should know of people who do valuations. I sold alot of Hardys/Greys gear last year but no idea on Sharpe gear.
