odd question for yous

just been in loft in house i been in for last 6 months and i have found a mint if not un used j s sharpe fly fishing rod model scottie 9"6' slit cane inpregnated rod in gen case, after looking on net it seems to be a very sort after make, so do any of you know about fishing or some where i can take to get it looked at/valued ?

Not sure about the Christies valuation. Ive got some nice Hardy stuff and it cost less than that. You can pick up a Sharpe cane rod for under £100 vintage in good nick. But you should get £50-60 for it which is better than a kick up the arse with a hob nail boot, since you got for nix. Try the owld flea bay if nowt else.

try your local salerooms,they sometimes do sporting sales,ive had a couple of rods from my local one.

Your nearest fishing shop should know of people who do valuations. I sold alot of Hardys/Greys gear last year but no idea on Sharpe gear.

had a few rods from the sales meself but i like coarse fishing not game

pmsl well at 35 notes on ebay after 24 hrs and loads of Qs about it

well end of auction on ebay and went for £96
