PostSubject: RIGHT CHOICE INSURANCE   Sat 29 Jan 2011 - 14:13

I took out a insurance policy on my clasic impreza on 22nd of december and they sent out my details in post which i had to sign and return to them (about my terms and condtions and payment schedule and stuff)

I never sent it away , but i rang up on the 24th ov january to cancel my policy, and they said "YEAH NO PROBLEM, BUT THERE WILL BE A 40% OF YOUR ANUAL PRICE CHARGE FOR THIS, (WORKED OUT AT £540 TO CANCEL) Rolling Eyes

Just wondering if any1 ele had had anything lyk this, i still have the form which i was supposed to sign and return to them (UNSIGNED)

AND ANOTHER THING " DONT EVER USE THEM COZ THEY ARE A BUNCH OF WA**ERS Wink

alot of policys do this now to stop the criminals taking out policy and cancelling it straight after recieving cover note !

regardless of the signed document or not you would have verbally signed your contract over the fone fella

not much you can do IMO

I think most companies put on a hefty cancellation fee nowadays

Sounds like they've had your pants down and given you a right royal shafting bud. Have you read your policy to see what it costs to cancel? Seems very high just for a cancelation, after all your policy was only a month old, it should be a percentage of that.

ive had similar problems this year with cars and bikes. you nearly always have to pay a cancelation fee if you pay monthly.

That's what I've always done in the past, it might not be the best price for the new car but saves paying for something you no longer have..not to mention you'll have the other insurance policy to pay for.

Hope you get it sorted and I'll also be in touch shortly to book a date for my roof wrap.
