I have a 97 UK Turbo
After a few months of the road she is being ready'd for MOT
However I have noticed after fitting new pads and discs (std replacement), whilst on axle stands i started the car and ran the car slowly to check for binding and brake operation.
My old man said the driverside front wheel was not turning but others were as was the drive shaft, to go with this on the saturday whislt fitting the brakes i turned to full lock to access the caliper bolts better and heard a big clunk.
I also have had the ABS light thrown up.
Now what do you think to this,
The wheel bearing gone, reasons
-Wheel not turning, but shaft is
-Loud clunk on full lock to driverside-play in colapsed bearing
- Abs sensor thowing up abs light as wheel is not in motion and niether is the abs tone ring, so its getting an abnormal signal.
Make sense?...i hope it does.
If not i need to know how to get abs flas codes as i cannot get the abs light off, looked for the connector under the dash to no avail.
